Sling-n-Shoot II field features 19 Tampa Bay schools

The second USF Sling-N-Shoot 7-on-7 tournament will be held this weekend at USF, and will feature 46 teams, including local powerhouses Armwood, Plant, Jesuit, Countryside, Lakewood and East Lake.

The field also has 5-time Georgia state champion Lowndes playing in it.

Hillsborough County will have 13 teams competing, 15 if you count the second teams being sent from Jesuit and Plant.

Pinellas County is sending eight teams representing six schools (Countryside and East Lake are sending two teams), and Pasco County's lone representative is Wiregrass Ranch.

Last year, Pasco beat Gaither for the championship.

Here's the list of teams sceduled to compete, and a few additional teams are expected to be added before play begins this wekend.
