South Florida's female quarterback
You’ve heard of female kickers, right? Well check out this story in South Florida.
South Plantation’s Erin Dimeglio is a 5-foot-6 senior quarterback. And she’s a girl.
According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Dimeglio saw action in last week’s rain-shortened preseason game as a backup quarterback. She completed an 11-yard pass to a teammate, who is presumably up to date on his cootie shots.
“It was so much fun,” Dimeglio told the Sun Sentinel. “There was so much adrenaline. I wasn’t really all that scared. I just wanted to move the football. The first pass was good, but I just wanted to get the team a score. I wanted a touchdown.”
My question: Would you let your daughter (or girlfriend) play varsity tackle football?
