Well, that was quick -- Aquille Carr has left ACD, won't be making Tampa Bay appearance

8

November

Highly-touted point guard Aquille Carr, dubbed by some the most exciting player in high school hoops, has left Jacksonville's Arlington Country Day.

Arlington Country Day's loss is a loss for local basketball fans as well. Oldsmar Christian was scheduled to host Arlington Country Day next week, giving Tampa Bay a chance to witness the electric 5-foot-6 player. But with Carr's move from Jacksonville back to Maryland where he has enrolled at Princeton Day Academy, that opportunity has vanished.

Arlington Country Day, ranked No. 7 nationally, is still playing Oldsmar Christian Nov. 15.

And as long as Andrew Wiggings stays at Huntington (W.Va) Prep -- keep your fingers crossed -- Tampa Bay will still get anothr chance to see one of the country's best basketball players. Actually, the best player, according to most analysts.

Wiggins and Huntington Prep are schedule to play at Oldsmar Christian in February.
