'24' may return as a limited series on Fox, producers say
To all the Jack Bauer fans in mourning after the show's demise, take heart: The series may very well return in limited run on Fox, just to catch up on how our favorite disavowed government agent is doing.
Deadline.com's Nellie Andreeva says former 24 chief Howard Gordon is considering making a limited series as a side project to his current job as executive producer of Homeland. Kiefer Sutherland would have to return as the lead, natch, which he is in talks to do. He's wanted to pick up the show since the efforts to make a feature movie following up the series tanked.
Gordon is being joined in his mission by another former 24 executive producer, David Fury. Those two are working Ang Lee's FX pilot Tyrant, too, so we do hope Jack doesn't get short shrift from the top. Then again, that would be nothing new for the most stressed-out operator off the grid. If only Elisha Cuthbert would come back, too ...
