A reboot of 'The Butterfly Effect' is coming up fast
It's been a whole nine years since Ashton Kutcher starred in The Butterfly Effect, so naturally Hollywood is ready to reboot it. Hey, it lasted longer than the Spider-Man franchise did. Maybe one day Tinseltown will actually creat new stories to tell.
Variety reports Anthony Rhulen, Chris Bender and JC Spink are producing the movie, which should just be called a remake. That trio is responsible for the forthcoming We're the Millers with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, under the banner Benderspink.
The 2004 original starred Amy Smart with Kutcher, who played a guy who could go back in time and change the future, sometimes with adverse effects. Oh, let's face it, the fabric of reality basically came unglued for the poor dope. And Kutcher's character, too.
