Adele receives royal honor
Which award do you think is Adele’s favorite: her Grammy, Golden Globe, Oscar? Or could it be her new MBE medal?
MBE stands for Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. So la-di-da.
The Skyfall singer received the honor for exemplary British subjects from Prince Charles at Buckingham palace, People reports. Charles was subbing for his mom, Queen Elizabeth, who’s spending the holidays at her country home of Sandringham.
Nevertheless, Adele was absolutely giddy and particularly stunning in her long-sleeve, navy and emerald, tea-length Stella McCartney dress. After receiving the award, the new mom curtsied properly then laughed in sheer delight.
In a statement released after the ceremony, Adele said, “It was an honor to be recognized and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people. Very posh indeed."
