'America’s Next Top Model' gets second chance at VH1
There was no doubt after the CW canceled America’s Next Top Model that Tyra Banks’ signature smize would live on in our hearts and selfies until the end of time. But now it looks like the show itself will go on as well.
According to the New York Daily News, the reality competition that ran for 22 seasons is getting a second chance on VH1.
No word yet on whether Banks or her fellow judges will be back, but since her new FAB Life show was a total flop, we hear she’s available. It’s just a question of money at this point.
“The CW canceled (ANTM) even though it was their most downloaded show,” an insider told Confidenti@l, “but the speculation was that it’s because Tyra’s salary is so high. It’s an expensive show to make because she gets a s---load of money.”
Banks tweeted back in October that the end was near, writing, “Thinking #ANTM22 should be our last cycle. I truly believe it’s time.”
Until it’s time to get back on the money train.
