Audrina Patridge pregnant with sponsored kid
Some celebrities, like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, wish to keep their private lives private, especially when it comes to their children. Other “celebrities,” like Audrina Patridge of The Hills “fame,” announce their pregnancies via a sponsored Instagram post, thus making their unborn children the poster fetuses for commercialism.
“I finally figured out what to get Corey for Christmas! #babyontheway #ClearblueConfirmed #ad,” the 30-year-old former reality show star captioned a sponsored photo of herself holding a pregnancy test. “Couldn’t wait to share the news with you all! Xoxo”
Patridge blogged about how the couple found out they were expecting, which is pretty boring and not a sponsored tale.
“It started with me not feeling too well — I didn’t feel sick, but I definitely knew something was off between my mood swings and lack of energy,” she wrote. “So, I took the test and TA-DA! I couldn’t even believe my eyes. I called Corey upstairs to make sure I wasn’t just seeing things and, well, let’s just say that he had a permanent smile glued to his face for the rest of the night!”
Keeping the news a secret until a pregnancy-related company agreed to pay up has been the hardest part for Patridge thus far.
While at a family dinner, Patridge said, “I told everyone I was on a detox cleanse to cover my lack of alcohol consumption. With the combination of my poor lying skills and Corey’s perma-smile, we were given 'the look’ over and over again by our friends and family, so it’s safe to say the secret was not a secret much longer!”
Aside from that challenge, she’s experienced very little difficulty.
“I just feel very tired and like I have a major hangover when I wake up, which is a change for me because I’m constantly on-the-go!” she wrote. “As far as finding out the sex of the baby … We just want it to be healthy :) Girl or boy, we will be ecstatic either way! Corey’s mum wants it to be a surprise, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait!”
Maybe she can hold out long enough for an ultrasound company to pony up some cash.
