Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter arrested in Florida bar
Former Florida man Nick Carter, the one Backstreet Boy most might be able to pick out of a lineup, was arrested on a charge of battery Wednesday night at the famous Hog’s Breath Saloon in Key West.
According to NBC News, a bartender deemed the 35-year-old and a man named Michael Papayans too drunk to be served. Carter and Papayans were “heavily intoxicated,” according to an incident report from the Key West Police Department, and when the bartender repeatedly asked them to leave, they became “aggressive” — to the tune of Papayans allegedly head-butting an employee and Carter allegedly grabbing a bouncer by the throat — always a fun time.
The whole thing was caught on video, and the cops arrested the Dancing With the Stars alum around 7 p.m., pretty early in the evening, though we suppose it’s always island (read: drinking) time down there.
Carter was booked for misdemeanor battery and was being held at the Monroe County jail early Thursday.
The singer and his wife, fitness expert Lauren Kitt, are expecting their first child together, news the couple revealed on DWTS in November because hey, the guy needed to garner votes somehow.
We hope the babymoon is less eventful.
