Ben Stiller's production company working on 'DodgeBall' sequel
It's been almost a decade, but the folks from Average Joe's gym are back for another round in an upcoming sequel to DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story. Ben Stiller is going to need to hit the treadmill pretty hard, after the way we saw him last.
Stiller's production company Red Hour has hired writer Clay Tarver to write a sequel to the 2004 comedy, which starred Vince Vaughn as a gym owner taking on Stiller's corporate rivals, The Hollywood Reporter says. Tarver has written Men Making Music about competitive barbershop quartets and Mike Judge's hunting satire Meat in the Freezer. This is what happens when you make $114 million on a $20 million budget.
The sequel will allegedly feature Vaughn and Stiller teaming up to stare down a bigger threat. We can only assume that means an all-out national ban of fast food, without which no one need ever visit a gym to work out.
