Blake Shelton rescues four men from Oklahoma mud hole
Blake Shelton is making headlines for something other than dating Gwen Stefani.
The Hillbilly Bone singer and noted wife-leaver found a bunch of fellow country boys stuck in a mud hole near the Washita River in Ardmore, Okla., on Friday.
“Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my buddies [accidentally] slid into a big mud hole and got stuck for about two hours,” Bryar Blanton told Entertainment Tonight. “Me and [my friend] Adrian started walking down the road [looking for help] and Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his truck.”
Shelton tried to tow the guys out without success.
“He said he’d be back in 15 minutes with his tractor. He came back and got us out and chatted for a minute and talked to us about hunting,” Blanton told E! News. “Blake is an all around good caring guy.”
Blanton thanked Shelton on Twitter, garnering the response, “No problem. Now you boys stay outta jail!!! Ha!!!”
Now, the H word is being thrown around to describe the Voice judge.
“If it wasn’t for Blake, I would have been out there for countless hours,” Blanton said. “And yeah I would say he is a hero.”
