Brad Pitt talking about making the inevitable 'World War Z' sequel
We've heard Brad Pitt threaten us with a sequel to World War Z before, but you may as well know that yeah, there's a sequel in development. He must have learned nothing from all those rewrites and shooting completely new scenes and cost overruns and missed deadlines. Raking in $533 million globally will do that for you.
“We’re certainly talking about it, yes,” he told Variety at the Toronto Film Festival. “We have so many ideas on the table from the time we spent developing this thing and figuring out how the zombie worlds work. We gotta get the script right first to determine if we go further.”
Here's an idea for getting the script right: Do the movies the Max Brooks wrote the novel. Just a thought. And consider for a moment Variety says Paramount wanted him to make a trilogy to begin with. That must have been back when Brooks fans had hope.
