Bristol Palin welcomes baby Sailor Grace
Advocate for abstinence Bristol Palin welcomed her second child on Wednesday, announcing in a Christmas Eve Instagram post that “our family couldn’t be more than complete.”
The 25-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin hasn’t named a father for baby girl Sailor Grace, but her pregnancy announcement in June came one month after she broke off her engagement with fiance Dakota Meyer. At the time she said the pregnancy was not an accident.
When the Dancing With the Stars alum blogged about the news, Palin wrote that it would be “a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” but she said she didn’t regret becoming pregnant again.
Meyer tweeted a photo of Palin and Sailor on Christmas Eve, captioning it, "Best Christmas present ever!! I couldn't be more proud of this little blessing."
Wrote Sarah Palin on her daughter's blog:
"Oh, perfect love! The best gift ever! Thank you, Bristol, for your strength and good heart and your love of life. The most important people in Bristol's life were there to witness the miracle of Sailor Grace Palin's arrival last night."
"Thank you for sharing the miracle with Piper, Marina, and me, Bri!" added the former vice presidential candidate. "And we thank Todd for taking care of the rest of the family during this most precious beginning of a great new chapter!"
Bristol Palin is already mom to son Tripp, almost 7, whom she had with high school sweetheart Levi Johnston when she was a teen. The couple were engaged but never tied the knot.
