Britney Spears will be making $310,000 per concert in Las Vegas
As Britney Spears moves into the twilight of her career, aping Elvis Presley's Las Vegas era by starring in shows at Planet Hollywood from now on, she can rest assured her little Smurf-loving children will be taken care of. Homegirl will be making bank doing those concerts, for as long as people are willing to shell out $160 a ticket or whatever.
The 48 concerts per year in the two-year contract Brit signed pay her $310,000 per show, some 60 percent of the totalprojected take of $508,514 per appearance, TMZ reports. The producers are saying it will be a "cool, hip, club-like show" and not your run of the mill yawner of a Vegas show, the site says. It better be to make Spears almost $15 million a year.
Of course, Celine Dion manages to make $476,000 per show times 70 each year, so she really has Britney beat. Maybe the former Mousketeer can make some mawkish theme song to a billion-dollar movie in which everyon drowns or freezes to death. That'll really raise her profile.
