Denise Richards has had it taking care of her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's twins with Brooke Mueller, so she's called the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services about it, saying something is wrong with 4-year-olds Bob and Max. Now Brooke has agreed to have the boys tested for problems, mostly because really, what choice does she have?

Richards wrote a letter to DFCS saying Bob and Max had terrorized her three daughters, Sam, Lola and Eloise, saying the twins had "strangled, scratched, punched, slapped and kicked the girls in the face and head, even spitting on them at times," according to RadarOnline. Denise also said the boys abused her dogs, threw things at her daughters and had a penchant for throwing feces and suffering nightmares after visitng their mother.

The department then met with Mueller and said she had to "sign off on having the boys tested and assessed for fetal drug and alcohol syndrome." Mueller, who was in rehab twice for booze and meth while pregnant with the boys, relented.

“Brooke did indeed also drink large amounts of alcohol while pregnant. This was on top of the drug use which included meth," an anonymous source told the site. “The good news is that they will now be properly tested, and monitored. It will be crucial that DCFS follows up and follows through with whatever the testing reveals. The boys’  lives literally depend on it.”

The boys, who were born seven weeks prematurely, are now in the care of Brooke's brother, Scott, Radar says. Richards had been taking care of Brooke's children since May, when Mueller entered rehab for the 22nd time. Yes, they said 22nd. There's no word on what Charlie thinks about all this, which is no doubt another big part of the problem.
