Bryan Cranston may be making a deal to play Lex Luthor in 'Man of Steel 2'
Complaining about Ben Affleck as Batman has been fun and all, but let's get back to random speculation. Can you believe there's a report that Bryan Cranston may be playing Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2? Boy, that makes for good geekery at the lunch table.
Geek site Cosmic Book News says that Cranston may be waiting until Breaking Bad ends its run to announce the move, with a source saying "Cranston truly is a dream casting for Luthor." Wait, does that mean casting him would be a dream, or that they're dreaming if they could cast him?
Anyway, the site says Cranston would have a deal for up to 10 appearances for DC movies in the pipeline, en route to a Justice League film to rival Marvel's The Avengers (Affleck supposedly has a 13-appearance clause). That many appearances by Lex Luthor seem to be a lot to us, but the site also says Matt Damon may end up cast as Aquaman or Martian Manhunter following his pal Ben's new role, so take this for what you will. In any case, who else plays a badder bald man than Cranston?
