Should be a better fit than "Damn Yankees."

Reality TV pop star Carly Rae Jepsen is slipping into a pair of glass slippers and taking over the role of Cinderella on Broadway.

Fran Drescher will play Jepsen’s evil stepmother in the production, MTV reports, so this is one we won’t miss missing.

The Candian Idol contestant and Call Me Maybe singer will play the lead in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella beginning on Feb. 4 for a 12-week stint in the NYC.

Cindy previously had been played by Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes, who is leaving the part behind after a yearlong run.

Jepsen, 28, joins a long list of reality TV singers who have tried to make the Broadway transition.

To name more than a few: American Idol alums (deep breath) Justin Guarini, Clay Aiken, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, Constantine Maroulis, Fantasia Barrino, Lakisha Jones, Sabrina Sloan, Frenchie Davis, Ace Young, Diana DeGarmo, Tamyra Gray, Todrick Hall and Katie Webber.

Seems she should feel right at home on the Great White Way. And we're pretty confident this will go over better for Jepsen than her putrid pitching performance at the Trop. #NeverForget
