Chris Brown charged with hit and run, denies doing anything wrong anywhere
It's been a troublesome week for Chris Brown, because not only has he been accused of shoving some girl outside of a club, he's been charged with misdemeanor hit and run in a May 21 car accident. He'd better hurry with those cases, because Lindsay Lohan will be out of rehab soon enough.
CBS News in L.A. says the 24-year-old is accused of rear-ending a Mercedes with his Range Rover, then refusing to provide a driver's license and giving the other driver fake insurance information. Well, that was enough for Breezy, who started to tweet angrily on Tuesday.
"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous" he posted in a flurry of tweets. "I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures."
Then he just plain started threatening folks: My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!" There's no real indication of who his lawyers will be contacting exactly, but we're pretty surprised by the use of the term yellow journalism. They must teach that in Celebrity Victimization 200 nowadays.
Brown also changed his Twitter profile photo to the image above, taken after the accident in Toluca Lake. He noted the change by tweeting, "My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after "the hit and run". NO damage. Just a dirty car.once again, I gotta clear my name"
Meanwhile, allegations by a woman named Deanna Gines that Brown shoved her at a nightclub in Anaheim, Calif., and hurt her leg Saturday are falling apart, thanks to a campaign being waged by TMZ. The site says her claims she tore ligaments in her right leg after being shoved to the ground are no good because video shows her walking with a left-favoring limp after the alleged incident.
The club in question, Heat Ultra Lounge, says she did hurt herself -- stumbling down the stairs while she was drunk. Gines says she hurt both of her legs, hence the switching limp. Breezy says he didn't do anything at all. There's a lot of that going around these days.
There's no telling whether any of these things will affect his probation for beating on his off-then-on girlfriend Rihanna, though. He's going to be arraigned July 15 for the hit and run, while any charges from the alleged nightclub incident are a tossup.
