Actor, Comedian Dom DeLuise dead at 75
Dom DeLuise, the comedic star of flicks like The Cannonball Run, History of the World: Part I and the voice of Tiger from the An American Tail series, died Monday night surrounded by family, the Los Angeles Times is reporting. He was 75.
He died in his sleep around 6:30 p.m. at a hospital in Santa Monica, according to son Michael. He is survived by his wife and three sons.
Along with spending years co-starring with Burt Reynolds in TNT-worthy fare and appearing in numerous Mel Brooks projects, DeLuise was an avid chef and wrote several cookbooks.Living to 75 is pretty good for a guy who starred in 1980's Fatso, about a, well, fatso who was eating himself to death.
