Adam Lambert arrested in Helsinki after bar fight
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert's latest sigle was released on Tuesday, but the singer himself was released from a Finnish jail Thursday after being arrested with his boyfriend for being in a bar brawl. No, we don't exactly imagine Lambert busting knuckles at a tavern, ourselves.
The Hollywood Reporter says Lambert and Sauli Koskinen were at Helsinki gay bar Don't Tell Mama at 4 a.m. Thursday causing a ruckus. Police said the pair were in a back room of the club and started fighting, got kicked out of the club and then kept on fighting in the street. There may be as many as four assault charges pending after they were interrogated and released Thursday afternoon.
Former Miss Helsinki Sofia Ruusila said that she had tried to split up the arguing couple, but was hit by Lambert by mistake, so it sounds like Adam and his Finnish Big Brother-winning boyfriend weren't what you'd call sober. That's backed up by Lamert's tweets Thursday.
"Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. :)" he wrote via @adamlambert. Miss Ruusila probably hasn't gotten around to laughing just yet.
