Agnes Bruckner will play Anna Nicole Smith in biopic
It's been several years since the modern incarnation of your daily Juice* marked the occasion of our birth by writing about Anna Nicole Smith's death nonstop. But finally, after years of searching and negotiation, Agnes Bruckner will be playing the ill-fated Playmate in a biopic on Lifetime, Deadline.com reports. That's how you know the Private Practice actress has made it.
Bruckner will play the infamous Texas native Vickie Lynn Hogan, whose life became an E! True Hollywood Story benchmark full of gold-digging and nudity, but was tragically cut short by overdosing on prescription drugs in Hollywood (Florida) only months after her grown son Daniel died. The subsequent scandal about how she got those prescriptions and the fate of her young daughter Dannielynn kept us enraptured for years. Then, eh, we kinda forgot all about it.
Bruckner has branched out into movies with a couple indies, A Bit of Bad Luck and Wrong Cops, plus the upcoming The Baytown Outlaws with Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria. Agnes may -- how shall we say it? -- be a little undersized in the wardrobe department to play Anna Nicole, but hey, that's what special effects are for.
