Amy Winehouse has an irregular heartbeat
All those drugs must have messed up Amy Winehouse pretty bad. The U.K.'s Sun is reporting that hospital tests have shown the singer has an irregular heartbeat. That must explain Monday's fainting spell.
Now her family has plans to keep her in the hospital to keep her off the drugs, the tabloid says. They don't want another episode like last summer's overdose.
"Amy is doing fine," dad Mitch said. "She is staying in as long as possible."
That will surely disappoint the roosting paparazzi outside the hospital, but Dr. Carol Cooper says Amy will be fine as long as she stays away from the crack rock.
"A heart attack is one of the most common ways for the drug to kill," Cooper said. "But if Amy’s lucky, she’ll feel much better in 48 hours." And we'll feel better knowing she's back on the streets, for sure.
