Details about Amy Winehouse's final days are emerging, with British tabloids saying she was riding a self-destructive streak straight to her demise. Not that British tabloids are the most trustworthy source these days, but still.

"She has spent the last seven days on a massive bender, and people were saying she's going to drink herself to death," a source told the U.K.'s Mirror. Indeed, the 27-year-old looked barely coherent while onstage with 15-year-old goddaughter Dionne Bromfield at the iTunes festival last Wednesday, since she was hardly audible singing backup for the song Mama Said and seemed dazed.

"There was always a danger of something like this," another unnamed source told the paper. "Her drinking is totally out of control. She's constantly out of ­control on vodka. She'd drink bottle after bottle and ­mixing those ­quantities with drugs is lethal." A report in salacious outlet The People said Amy was spied buying cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine and heroin around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Pal Kelly Osbourne went on the record as saying she thought Amy was doing well, and she and Winehouse talked for a good hour on Friday. "I was speaking to her last night, she seemed ­absolutely fine," Osbourne told the Mirror. "I don't understand how this could have ­happened."
