Always one to talk about his daughter, Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has signed a deal to write a book about his drug-addled offspring. The good news: He will give all the money to charity. Well, if you consider donating it to the foundation Mitch created for drug-abusing teens giving it away.

"I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy, and to help my personal recovery," Mitch said. The deal for Amy: My Daughter is with HarperCollins, though the terms were not disclosed, Time magazine said. The book will be a memoir of Amy's early years, on into her troubled celebrity. "I believe that through Amy's music, her foundation, and this book, her name will live forever."

In addition to the proceeds from the book, the Amy Winehouse Foundation is also getting all the money from the sale of downloads of her duet with Tony Bennett, Body and Soul. A more jaded soul would think Mitch was just trying to shelter his late daughter's profits from further taxation by funneling them into a charity he has a hand in, but that would require some sort of proof that Mitch and wife Janis sat idly by while their kid destroyed herself, only stepping in when it looked like the money would dry up. And that didn't happen, now, did it?
