Angelina Jolie writes introduction to Billy Bob Thornton's book
Things are just dandy between Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton -- at least, he'd better hope so, because his ex-wife is writing the foreword to his memoir, The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts, Us says. That must've been hard, since she's probably one of the ghosts.
The HarperCollins book is described as being full of "colorful tales of his modest (to say the least) Southern upbringing, his bizarre phobias (komodo dragons?), his life, his loves (including his heartbreakingly brief marriage to fellow Oscar winner Angelina Jolie), and, of course, his movie career." It's cowritten by country music singer Kinky Friedman, who knows a thing or two about the misfortune of others.
The book, which also features commentary by Robert Duvall, Dwight Yoakam and Tom Epperson, is due for release on May 15. That will give us plenty of time to find out whether Thornton's next movie, And Then We Drove, is about Jolie or not.
