Angus T. Jones scores millions for 'Two and a Half Men'
Sure, Two and a Half Men hasn't been funny since about the third season (if you really call that funny), and yes, it's a tired formula that makes us wonder when Jon Cryer's Alan Harper will get his life back on track. But it's still here, and today is Angus T. Jones' birthday, so it's time for Jake to get paid.
The 17-year-old has signed a minimum 26-episode deal back on May 12 that will guarantee him at least $7.8 million over two more seasons, plus a $500,000 signing bonus, TMZ says. Of course, if he does the 48 epsiodes CBS has promised, he'll rake in as much as $14.9 million, including that bonus. Happy birthday, kiddo.
Of course, that pales in comparison to Charlie Sheen's previously reported $2 million per episode, but hey, he's got plenty of legal bills to pay. And isn't Cryer the one who won the Emmy? He's only making about half as much as Sheen. They should go on strike and see if Sheen could make a sitcom just called Man work.
