Ann Curry says her 'Today' show bosses made fun of her wardrobe
In an interview with Ladies' Home Journal, Anne Curry claims her old bosses made fun of her clothes. "One day, I wore a multicolored dress, and someone asked if I was trying to be Toucan Sam," Curry said. "But I chose it because I thought, 'This will perk up America.'"
Curry also resented her stilettos, People reports. "I'm encouraged by my bosses to wear these ridiculously high-heeled shoes because woman say, 'I love your shoes!' So if it makes women happy, I'll wear them. But I'm still going to be me," she said.
After years of piling on makeup, Curry says she's ready to go natural. "I've decided not to buy into that idea that I want to stop aging. My wrinkles connect me to my family, to my ancestors and to my future," she said. "I've got cellulite because it runs in my family. I've got gray hair because I won't dye it," she said. We appreciate Curry's honesty. After looking so good for so long, we agree that she should be able to let herself go a bit. One more scoop of Ben & Jerry's never hurt anybody.
