Another actress hurt on set of 'Spider-Man' Broadway musical
Another injury has claimed a cast member of Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, after understudy T.V. Carpio was put on the DL in a fight scene on stage. At this point, can they even find someone to replace her?
The 29-year-old actress was hurt March 16 with an unspecified injury, and will be out for the next two weeks, the AP reports. She was playing Arachne, a goddes of spider powers who wants to steal Peter Parker away from Mary Jane (nerds will notice that a bit different than the original Julia Carpenter character from the Marvel comics). She will be replaced for the next two weeks by America Olivio.
Carpio was an understudy for the roles of Arachne and Mary Jane, but was promoted when Natalie Mendoza suffered a concussion in December. She's the fifth cast memeber to be injured in the $65 million musical, which is still in preview performances. Those are apparently like regular performances, but full of disastrous mistakes -- like making a multimillion-dollar musical of a comic book scored by Bono.
