Arizona anarchy: DMX in jail, warrant issued for Lil Wayne
If you're a rapper, you may just want to stay the heck out of Arizona: DMX is stuck in jail there, while Lil Wayne is a wanted man. So much for retiring there someday.
DMX, a.k.a. Earl Simmons, was ordered by a Maripcopa County court commissioner to serve six months in jail and undergo a mental health evaluation after failing a drug test last June, the Arizona Republic reports. He had been accepted by Dr. Drew Pinsky's Pasadena recovery Center, but it looks like his probation terms won't allow him into the state of California. A staffer for the show said he wasn't going to be a part of the next season, since Simmons has to be under lock and key until December.
Weezy, meanwhile, had a warrant issued for him in Yuma County because he failed to appear in court for his drug and weapons case there. Hint: Dwayne Carter is currently in Rikers Island in New York for a weapons charge there. Wayne's attorney there will file a petition to postpone his March 30 trial since the rapper will still be in the cooler then, too, the Yuma Sun reports.
You see, baseball teams, that's why you shouldn't relocate to Arizona for spring training. Eventually your whole roster will end up in the clink.
