Arnold Schwarzenegger gets the house, Maria Shriver will probably get the rest
The very first details of the so-called amicable divorce settlement between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver has been sussed out, with word he gets to keep their Brentwood, Calif., mansion. Well, maybe that's just because Maris bought her own home about three miles away.
Virtually no other details of the settlement have been decided, but TMZ is very happy to be able to report this one issue is resolved. Of course, it's likely Arnold will be the one paying the $10 million Shriver's new house is worth, but that should be no big deal, since the site says their combined value is $400 million, which will likely be split 50/50. The couple are splitting custody of their kids, so they wanted to live close to each other.
"It's very early in the process," a source tells the site. That's gossip blog code for "We don't know what else is going to happen, but we have to attract readers, so here's an incremental update that sounds like real news." Hook, line and sinker, TMZ.
