Arnold Schwarzenegger may give Maria Shriver a big divorce settlement
Don't go expecting a long, drawn-out court battle in Maria Shriver's divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger, because word is he's already offering a fat settlement. How's even more than the 50 percent she's entitled to under California law sound?
"Arnold realizes he is to blame for the collapse of his marriage. Maria was a loving wife and mother, and he doesn't think that any amount of money can minimize what he has put her through. He wants to do the right thing, and go above and beyond what is required of him under the law," a source tells RadarOnline. "This is going to be a very amicable divorce, and it won't be played out in the media. Neither one of them wants that. Arnold hasn't lost his mind, he is going to be giving away his fortune to her. He wants to show his children that he is taking responsibility for his actions."
Given that Arnie is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $750 million (according to some estimates), that'll be a lot of scratch for Maria's post-political life. Too bad we won't get to see their lawyers Laura Wasser and Bob Kaufman fight tooth and nail on Court TV, though.
