Ashlee Simpson hits Broadway with sis Jessica in the crowd
Ashlee Simpson has gotten over her dismissal from Melrose Place pretty quickly, making her Broadway stage debut Monday night in a performance of Chicago. Yeah, it happened Monday night, but we were tired. It's not like you had tickets, anyway.
Mrs. Pete Wentz said all the right things at the Ambassador Theatre in New York as she reprised the role of Roxie Hart, which she had played in London in 2006. Now she'll be doing as many as eight shows a week for 10 weeks, the U.K.'s Daily Mail said.
"I'm honored to be reprising my role as Roxie Hart, returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast," Ashlee said. "Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true."
Sister Jessica, who was in the crowd with hubby Wentz, took to Twitter to talk about the show, since that's the only place we hear from her anymore: "Roxie was all Heart! Watching her up on that grandiose stage made me the proudest sister in the world. I love ya honey, I love ya!. Grrrrrrr," she said via @JessicaSimpson. Aw, she's so clever! But already the haters are saying Jess looked fat in her outfit. We know the truth, however: She's simply sucking all the nutrients out of Ashlee.
