Atonement

The Golden Globe nominations are out, and Atonement, the British historical romance based on the novel by Ian McEwen, leads the pack with seven nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor and Actress (James McAvoy and Kiera Knightley). Charlie Wilson's War got five noms, and Michael Clayton, No Country For Old Men and Sweeney Todd got four apiece. The usual suspects were all nominated in the acting categories -- Denzel, Hanks, Depp -- with a few fun additions, like John C. Reilly as Dewey Cox in Walk Hard. On the TV side, FX's Damages and the HBO movie Longford each got four nominations. Newcomers to this year's TV nominations included Pushing Daisies and Californication for Best Comedy, and Mad Men and The Tudors for Best Drama.

Here's the list of nominees for best pic and TV show, via the Golden Globes Web site. For a complete list of nominees, head there.
