Beckhams' housekeepers busted in eBay scam
A ring of thieving housekeepers and their son have been arrested for stealing stuff from David and Victoria Beckham and trying to sell it on eBay, the U.K.'s Mirror reports. And you just know they have good stuff to hock, too.
Gareth Emmett, 25-year-old son of Beckham housekeepers Eric and June Emmett, joined his parents by being arrested for suspicion of taking personal items from the Beckhams' house across the pond. What kind of stuff? One of David's boots (that'd be cleats, for us Yanks) with the names of sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz on them, and another boot he wore when playing for the English national team.
Vicki's parents, Tony and Jackie Adams, played detective on this one, enlisting friends to bid on the items in order ot find out who took the things that had gone missing from the home.
"Tony and Jackie were furious when they discovered there were items missing from Victoria and David’s home," a source said. "Sometimes fake memorabilia is sold by conmen, but Tony was shocked when he discovered such personal items had been put up for sale. Both David and Victoria were incredibly upset and are hugely traumatized."
Yeah, who'd think someone would go into a rich couple's home and try to take things?
