Bed Intruder singer Antoine Dodson gets a new home, thanks to song
The Internet has punctuated yet another success story with famed Bed Intruder "singer" Antoine Dodson moving his family out of the Huntsville, Ala., home in which his sister was attacked to a safer location, all thanks to money from the iTunes version of his viral nightly news tirade. So you can run and tell that, homeboy.
"We found a house!" he told Us magazine. "It's for my whole family. And these are new houses that have just been built." He's using the cash he got from half the proceeds of the Gregory Brothers' autotuned song using the news clip, which hit the Top 50 on iTunes after being released (watch it above). That's not your normal route to stumbling into money, but it works for Antoine.
"I still can't believe this," Dodson added. "Even though my life is moving forward, it's at a standstill in my mind. I'm like, 'Wow! All of this is happening just off a news interview!'"
Of course, the local PD has no leads, despite fingerprints and a t-shirt being left at the scene. We guess Antoine didn't find him, after all. He did find plans to go back to school, after all. He's going to finish his associate's degree in business so he can open a salon or a hotel, he told the mag. Just keep the windows closed.
