Ben Affleck may direct 'Justice League'

Could Ben Affleck be the next dude to strap on Batman's codpiece? Maybe so. According to Variety, Matt Damon's better half is in the conversation to direct Justice League (think DC Comics' all-star version of The Avengers) after Christopher Nolan declined to do the job for Warner Bros.

Affleck has requested to act in the film, which would combine Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash. We vote 'fleck to suit up as The Dark Knight. It's unclear whether current Batman star Christian Bale would fill the role or not.

Since directing The Town in 2010, which soared in the box office, Affleck became respected as a director and not just a highly talented actor. Most recently, Affleck directed Argo set to debut this fall. As of now, Affleck is the only director who received a copy of the Justice League script. That codpiece may be calling his name.
