Bethenny Frankel writing her first fiction book
Bethenny Frankel's mysteriously won media empire continues to grow, with the announcement of a three-book deal to complement her self-help book A Place of Yes with some fiction titles. Frustrated (and unpublished) tbt* fiction writers are throwing objects at this very moment.
The reality-show wonder will write Skinny Dipping, a novel that nods to her Skinnygirl clothing and skin care line, which makes us wonder how fictional it will be. The deal will, however, make up for Whole Foods dropping her Skinnygirl Margarita -- advertised as "all natural" and "no preservatives" because it contains the preservative sodium benzoate, as the New York Post reports.
"You have creative license. Your imagination can go wild,"the 40-year-old told USA Today about the book. "It's about a girl's journey and what she wants, and trying to have it all. It's about the lessons and the people along the way, about naysayers and rising above. There will be a lot of juiciness and people wondering what it's based on and if any of it was influenced by my life."
Again, that would make it not fictional. But all Bethenny needs is to convince publisher Touchstone Fireside it will sell, which it likely will. Expect to see it on shelves next spring. Expect to see unnamed tbt* scribes ripping it up a few days later.
