Billy Ray Cyrus says Miley's 'Hannah Montana' destroyed his family
Billy Ray Cyrus has been leeching off his daughter Miley's success for years now, so of course he takes to the pages of GQ to capitalize on her suffering now that he and her mom, Tish, are getting divorced, saying he hopes she doesn't end up in trouble. Maybe you shoulda thought of that before parading her on TV in a miniskirt when she wa 14, dad.
"It destroyed my family. I’ll tell you right now — the damn show destroyed my family," Billy Ray says about Hannah Montana. "And I sit there and go, 'Yeah, you know what? Some gave all.' It is my motto, and guess what? I have to eat that one. I some-gave-all’d it all right. I some-gave-all'd it while everybody else was going to the bank. It's all sad."
Wait, did he just compare himself to the sacrifices of American veterans? Maybe we're being too sensitive, but that's a jerky move, right there.
Meanwhile, he wishes the whole show had never even happened: "I hate to say it, but yes, I do. Yeah. I'd take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic. Heck, yeah. I'd erase it all in a second if I could."
You heard him, folks; the moving party to cram their stuff in a Tennessee trailer park is Saturday. Bring your own beer.
