Bobby Brown pleads no contest to DUI, avoids jail
The Juice* always likes it when old business is cleared up for the weekend, so we're happy to report Bobby Brown isn't going back to jail for his DUI charge. Instead, he gets time served and three years' probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor DUI. And the streets of L.A. are safe again!
The L.A. Times says Brown was fined $390 and has to go to a 90-day alcohol education class, although it sounds to us like he already knows plenty about booze. His attorney, Tiffany Feder (whom we know reads The Juice* because she called us for reprints to send to Florida family) entered the plea as part of a deal Wednesday, helping her client avoid up to a year in L.A. County jail. As it is, he already served a day, so he won't have to go back.
As you may recall, this incident happened on March 26, four days after Whitney Houston died, when Bobby was pulled over for talking on a cellphone at 12:30 in the afternoon. He failed a sobriety test, so you can see he started work early that day.
