Bono and Bush: BFF
Bono is really slumming it these days. The Irish rocker took a moment to chat with President Bush before this week’s G-8 summit in a meeting that included music producer Bob Geldof and Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour, the AP reports.
“Hanging out with good company, aren’t I?” Bush said from Heiligendamm, Germany. Bono and the gang were pressing world leaders to increase aid to poorer countries.
It was an important meeting for Bush. “Where’s Bono?” he called out prior to the meeting. “Bono for president.” Amen to that.
