Brad Pitt's mom writes letter complaining about gays, abortion and Obama to Missouri newspaper
Brad Pitt's mom has caused a stir by writing a letter to the editor in the Springfield News-Leader in Missouri urging people to vote for Mitt Romney if they are Christians and don't like abortions or the gays, or that communist president of ours. You know, in case you are shocked to learn an old lady in southern Missouri is ultra conservative even if she is Brad Pitt's mom.
The Hollywood Reporter says Jane Pitt was writing in response to an op-ed saying Christians should feel okay not voting for Romney because he is a Mormon -- that's how conservative we're talking here -- when she noted "any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon."
She added that "any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney's opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."
That's kind of a different message than what son Brad has touted, saying he supports Obama and has been an outspoken supporter of gay marriage. He even told THR of his mother, "There's not an ounce of malice in her. She wants everyone to be happy." Well, that's what a son is supposed to say about his mom, whether he believes it or not. Next thing you know, you'll tell us Brad doesn't really like coming back for Thanksgiving, either. But he goes anyway, darn it!
