Bradley Cooper wants to be in 'The Crow' remake
If there's one thing you can count on Hollywood for, it's terrible ideas. Like remaking the original version of The Crow, and then talking to Bradley Cooper about starring in the role that accidentally killed Brandon Lee. Bad ideas, all around.
Production house Relativity has tapped 28 Weeks Later's Juan Carlos Fresnadillo to reshoot the 1994 pic, which was based on the ultra-violent, supernatural revenge fantasy by comic book artist James O'Barr, the Hollywood Reporter says. After Lee was accidentally shot to death with a stunt handgun by Michael Massee, the movie was retooled using the other actors and pretty janky CGI, so Cooper, who "is keen to board the project," doesn't have much to live up to.
Juice*head Gina brought this to our attention, noting she'd rather see Eric Bana or Joe Manganiello play Eric Draven. Indeed, those are better choices, but we'd rather see them not remake this one at all. Don't you at least have to wait 20 years to retread these pics, anyway?
