Bravo to delay 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' after Russell Armstrong's suicide; allegations he beat Taylor
After Taylor Armstrong's husband Russell committed suicide in L.A., allegations that he savagely beat her before shooting started on season 2 have emerged, combining to form a firestorm that is pushing back the season premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at least a week or more.
Bravo is delaying the Sept. 5 premiere in the wake of Armstrong's death, a source tells the Hollywood Reporter. "People are concerned about being associated with the show and his passing," the source says, pushing the network to re-edit the season, but not cancel it entirely.
Of more concern is TMZ's report that Russell allegedly punched Taylor in the face and broke her cheekbones, requiring surgery, then sent Camille Grammer a threatening email after the secret was out. Taylor told Camille and Kyle Richards what happened, prompting the pair to tell Taylor to go to the network.
"It was the rantings of a lunatic," a source said of the email to Grammer. Shooting of the second season was apparently delayed several weeks while Taylor recovered.
