Bret Michaels wins 'Celebrity Apprentice'
You've got to hand it to Bret Michaels: He sure does give it his all when it comes to winning reality TV shows. The 47-year-old tried his best Sunday, beating out Holly Robinson Peete on the season finale of The Celebrity Apprentice despite having suffered a mild stroke on Thursday. That should have given Donald Trump an idea of what Bret was made of.
Even on the afternoon flight from Arizona to New York on Sunday, the Poison frontman had to stop in Nashville because he was "complaining of a headache, lower back pain and some cramping in his legs," a source told People, but he soldiered on.
The stroke came a month after he had a hemorrhage in his skull, and that was after he had an emergency appendectomy. We think someone's trying to tell you something, Bret. But congrats for the Apprentice thing -- at least the American Diabetes Association got $250,000 out of it (although Snapple matched The Donald's award, so the HollyRod Foundation got a quarter mil, too).
