Britney Spears' conservatorship may be ending
News about Britney Spears is pretty rare these days, but when it comes out, it's usually good. Case in point: RadarOnline says it's possible the court-ordered conservatorship she's under may be liftedin about three months. It's always good to hear the birds are ready to fly on their own.
"Britney has made tremendous progress in the past three to four months. She seems to be firmly in control again," a source tells the site. Spears has been under father Jamie's control financially since February 2008, after Brit ended up in the UCLA mental hospital for a nervous breakdown.
Radar says the singer, her dad and her therapist met separately with L.A. Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz on Thursday morning to discuss things.
"Judge Goetz needed to meet with Britney and talk to her face-to-face, to see how she was doing," the source noted. "It's one thing to read medical reports about her, but the in-person meeting was very important." The next hearing is on Oct. 14, so keep your fingers crossed that stuff continues to improve. What? We aren't allowed to hope someone continues to get better? We're jaded and sarcastic, not evil.
