Britney Spears discussing possible concert series at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas
While the entire world continues to wait and see if all those frantic reports Britney Spears is going to make $15 million a year judging on The X Factor (hey, Ryan Seacrest can get it, why not Brit?), she's moving full speed ahead on other deals. Like a stint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, for example.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Norm Clarke says Hard Rock COO Paul Pusateri has been chatting up Brit's manager Larry Rudolph about a stint at The Joint, the 4,000-person venue at the hotel. "The queen of pop will be the queen of the Hard Rock if all goes according to plan," a source told Norm. And how can a guy with an eye patch be wrong?
It's all part of a plan by the hotel's management to change the feel of the place by offering more access to celebrities. "People will be able to rub shoulders with the celebs. Gone are the days of hiding them behind velvet ropes," the source said. "You'll be able to gamble with DJ Pauly D, have dinner with Britney and have drinks with Mötley Crüe." And let's not forget, the Crüe's recent two-week concert stint was pretty durn popular in those parts -- although it speaks volumes about Spears that Vegas would be a target destination for her audience.
