Britney Spears may be getting control over her money again
For her upcoming wedding to Jason Trawick, Britney Spears is getting one heck of a gift from dad Jamie: Control over her own finances again. The third time really is the charm, huh, Brit?
The U.K.'s Daily Mail says that after four years of controlling his 30-year-old daughter's money, he plans to give up the court-ordered conservatorship that started in 2007, back when she was treated at a mental hospital and lost custody of her two sons briefly. To Kevin Federline. Yeah, it was bad, wasn't it?
"Jamie wants to go to court in early February so Britney will be a free woman in every sense when she marries," a source says. The wedding is set for Maui on Valentine's Day. Because hey, she needs to pay for her flight back somehow. The court order for the arrangement would have to end, first, but as The Juice* recalls, that's largely on Jamie's recommendation, anyway. There's $160 million or so just waiting for Jason -- uh, for Britney! Yeah, Britney, that's it.
