Britney Spears was slapped with a restraining order last week, and other assorted tidbits
We laid off Britney Spears for a day, mostly because all the gossip was so incremental (aside from rumors she was yammering with a British accent at Cedars-Sinai) that we really didn’t see the point. But thanks to People, we’ve learned that the LAPD hit her with a temporary restraining ordering last Thursday that was set to last five business days.
“The person it’s placed upon would have to stay approximately 100 feet from the other person, or face arrest,” LAPD spokesman Mike Lopez told People. “In most cases, it’s issued by officers when there’s the possibility of imminent and immediate danger to the victim.”
Kevin Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says Fed-Ex didn’t request the “emergency protective order” and didn’t know if there would be a request to extend it.
“Kevin doesn’t want to keep his kids from being involved in (Spears’) life,” he said. “But foremost is that the kids be in an environment of structure (and) stability.” Perhaps a restraining order would be for the best then.
Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for Brit's mom Lynne said Dr. Phil McGraw betrayed the family's trust by turning his visit with Spears into a spectacle.
"He was not invited to make this a public display," Lou Taylor said on The Today Show on Wednesday (see the segment below). Furthermore, TMZ reports Lynne and dad Jamie have been trying to get Britney treatment for a bipolar disorder for months to no avail.
And speaking of spectacle, X17 reports that Adnan Ghalib's agency, Finalpixx sold half-naked pics of Britney to an Australian newspaper for a mere $57,000, a claim Finalpixx denies.
And Ok! has quite the adorable pic of Mommie Dearest with sons Sean and Jayden. Photographer Dani Brubaker said Brat was very attentive to her children. Not only that, but "... when she saw the photographs she cried for over an hour and stared at them all night long," Brubaker said. Well, they are pretty cute.
Never mind Brubaker had said she wouldn't sell the images, which were from a private session, according to Perez Hilton. Rumor has it that Brubaker was paid somewhere in the area of $1 million for the pics, and that the cover is a composite of two separate images.
