Cee-Lo Green allegedly admitted drugging sexual battery victim
Suddenly things are looking so plausibly deniable for Cee-Lo Green, who is being accused of sexually battering a woman in July, because there's allegedly an LAPD recording of him admitting to drugging the woman and having sex with her.
TMZ reports the alleged victim claims the Voice coach took her to a sushi restaurant in downtown L.A., where she had a drink and blacked out, waking up in Cee-Lo's room. She says she went to the cops, who had her make a phone call to try to get him to tell her what happened, and they recorded it. A source tells the site Green apologized and referenced MDMA, which any Madonna fan by now knows is Ecstasy, though he didn't admit to putting it in her drink (and doesn't knock people out, as far as we've heard).
Detectives are supposedly interviewing potential witnesses and are going to refer the case to the D.A., a notion Cee-Lo's people deny, because they told TMZ if the cops had anything, Green would already be in jail. There's apparently another angle, in that the woman may have gone to a civil lawyer to try to extort money from Green, but turned to police when that proved fruitless. Her lawyer apparently called the singer's manager to find out if Green had any STDs, but that was it -- no money demands at all. It's all very confusing. And not going away anytime soon.
