'Celebrity Apprentice' to embarrass 14 people
Has it really only been three short years since The Apprentice brought Survivor into the boardroom? Seems like such a short tenure before having to resort to gimmicks like Celebrity Apprentice, doesn’t it?
But we’ll still check out Gene Simmons battle Vincent “Big Pussy” Pastore in a businesslike setting to raise money for charities, even if it means having to settle for them and 12 other D-list names NBC made public Monday as contestants in the show’s seventh season.
Also aboard are Marilu Henner, last seen in Taxi, Nely Galan, who was the exec producer of The Swan (remember that one?) and Stephen Baldwin, who might as well be known as the Reality Show Baldwin.
And don’t forget model Carol Alt, gymnast Nadia Comaneci, country crooner Trace Adkins, boxer Lennox Lewis, Olympic softball gold medalist Jennie Finch, America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, Ultimate Fighting Champion Tito Ortiz or Playboy Playmate of the Year Tiffany Fallon.
Our favorite contestant vying for the $250,000 grand prize for their cause? Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, who flavored the show’s first season with a palpable, evil co-worker vibe. Why come back? “I did it for redemption,” she told the AP. That, and more face time on the small screen.
